Seasoned, sauced ground beef on a bun makes such a great, quick weekday meal that there’s only one way to top these Easy Italian-Style Sloppy Joes: with cheese.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef or ground turkey
- 3 1/2 cups Prego® Traditional Italian Sauce (a little more than half of a 45-ounce jar)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 12 Pepperidge Farm® Soft White Hamburger Buns
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (about 8 ounces) or 12 slices provolone cheese

Tips
- To make 24 servings, adjust the amounts as follows: 4 pounds beef, 45-ounce jar sauce, 3 tablespoons Worcestershire, 1 tablespoon each garlic powder and onion powder, 4 1/2 cups cheese and 24 hamburger buns. Cook in an 8-quart saucepot.

Step 1
Season the beef with salt and pepper. Cook the beef in a 4-quart saucepan over medium-high heat until browned, stirring often to separate meat. Pour off any fat.

Stir in the sauce, Worcestershire, garlic powder and onion powder and cook over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Divide the beef mixture among the buns. Top with the cheese and serve hot.
